Hi, I’m Connor Garvey!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and counselor based in Parker, Colorado. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work, and I completed my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Denver, where I also earned a certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions (HAEI).
My passion for counseling stems from a deep appreciation of the bond between people and animals. I have many years of experience working with horses and dogs, including caring for my own. This connection inspires my approach to therapy, especially through equine- and canine-assisted methods.
What makes my approach unique is my dedication to tailoring therapy to each individual. I consider all aspects of your life to create a supportive environment that fosters meaningful healing and growth. My background includes experience in crisis intervention, having worked as a co-responder for Child Protective Services (CPS) and in residential settings. This work has provided me with deep insight into trauma, resilience, and the many complexities people face.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time outdoors in the mountains and with my animals. I’ve seen firsthand how nature and animal companionship can gently support the healing process alongside traditional therapy.
Whether we work together through animal-assisted therapy or talk-based sessions, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges, uncover your strengths, and build a more balanced, fulfilling life.
